The original Lufia 2: Curse of the Sinstrals for the SNES is still one of my favorite games ever. It's an RPG that wasn't grinding intensive, challenging puzzles, and a great (although now a very overplayed) story. This game gets almost nothing right. Clunky single party member out at a time action oriented battle system. Story has chunks taken out of it. The puzzles are still good, and so is the new skill grid system. It's the only thing the game gets right.

This game is an interesting mash up of a traditional SNES-ish RPG and a puzzle game. You control an army of different units that act like pieces in a puzzle game: move them to match three of the same colour together and they go into either an attack or defense mode, with the enemy character doing the same. I enjoyed this game but it does get repetitive. There are 5 different characters to play through but I found myself getting bored after playing the first two. I give it a 3.5 out of 5.
